Another reason to look seriously at Linux - not that the relatively recent price changes from Micro$oft wouldn't drive you that way anyway !!!! No help. When you uninstall, it leaves all your data and setup info there and a reinstall uses the old info so if there is something corrupt there, a reinstall will not fix
