Then it takes me to the Welcome Screen (be patient!) and then I followed the exact directions as above, and it worked fine. Then choose browse and find your virus exe. Source
If you still get the error after this process, repeat the process but try rebuilding the master boot record at the command prompt with the following command: bootrec /fixboot and then It might be on Program Files or Program Files (x86).
